Da Nang Kendo Club (DNKC) Rules
These rules regulate activities, training, and club operations. In cases of non-compliance or repeated violations, the club reserves the right to suspend training for the violating individual without refund of fees.
When members register to become club members, they agree to comply with the rules below.

I. Monthly Fees
Note
Paying fees is mandatory for all club members to maintain the venue and club operations. Members are required to pay on time and in full.
- Annual fees:
- Payment deadline: within 7 days from the first training day.
- For students:
300,000 VND / month - For working professionals:
350,000 VND / month
- Fee reduction for new members to support essential equipment investment:
- Duration: First 2 months of training, one-time only
- Requirement: Pay fees 3 months at a time
- Reduced rates:
- For students:
750,000 VND / 3 months - For working professionals:
900,000 VND / 3 months

II. Temporary Absence
Note
Interrupting training may affect the teaching schedule and training progress of other members. Therefore, registered members are required to be persistent during their training period.
In case of inability to train regularly:
- Members planning to be absent for a short period must proactively contact the treasurer and club management to be exempt from fees during their absence.
- Returning to training after a period of absence:
- For new members: 2 months of absence requires waiting for the next enrollment period to start again with a new class.
- For members who have trained for over 3 years: contact the Sensei and club management.
III. Uniforms and Required Equipment
Note
Preparing proper attire and equipment is a way to show respect to the Sensei, assistant instructors, fellow practitioners, and the dojo. It also protects yourself and others during training, avoiding unfortunate incidents.
Before and during training:
- Specialized equipment includes: Shinai (Bamboo sword), Kendogi and Hakama uniforms, Bogu and specialized protective equipment.
- For Shinai, members must ensure before training that the Shinai has no issues such as splinters, chips, or potential for breaking to avoid injury to training partners.
- For Kendogi and Hakama uniforms:
- Men may only use Navy color Kendogi and Hakama
- Women may use Navy or white Kendogi, but Hakama must be Navy.
- By the end of the first month of training, members must have a Shinai (Bamboo sword).
- By the end of the second month of training, members must have uniforms including Kendogi and Hakama.
- For personal items:
- Do not use personal accessories such as watches, bracelets, socks, etc. (except wedding rings) during training.
- Do not use or answer phones in the dojo except for recording reference materials.
- If wearing an undershirt beneath the Kendogi, choose one that does not expose the collar or sleeves.
IV. Training Schedule
- Training days are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week.
- Dojo training time is from 19:15 to 20:45.
- Training begins immediately after members finish cleaning and preparing the venue.
V. During Training
- Focus on listening and follow all instructions from the Sensei and designated instructors.
- Do not interrupt training without a valid reason and permission from the Sensei or designated instructor.
VI. Photos and Materials
- Do not share photos or videos without permission from the individuals appearing in them.
