Notes for New Members
Members who have started training at Da Nang Kendo Club please read the information below.

Etiquette in the Dojo
Within the dojo, students must practice etiquette through: bowing to the training floor, bowing to the flag, bowing to the Sensei, and bowing to fellow practitioners.
- At the door, before entering or leaving the dojo, bow to the training floor.
- Perform the opening ceremony when signaled by the Sensei or instructor.
- Perform the closing ceremony when signaled by the Sensei or instructor.
Equipment Placement
- Shoes/sandals must be neatly arranged outside the door, with toes facing outward.
- Other equipment should be placed neatly according to the designated areas shown in the image below.

Seating positions and training equipment placement are arranged in order of Dan/Kyu rank from highest to lowest, starting from the entrance.
TIP
For convenience during regular training, except on event days, members may leave personal equipment at their designated seating positions.
During Training
- When the Sensei or instructor finishes explaining content, members should respond by saying "Hai" (Yes).
- When standing and observing, do not cross arms or fidget.
- When sitting and observing, sit in seiza or cross-legged position.
Using Training Equipment
- During use, do not stick the tip of Shinai / Bokuto into the ground.
- During opening and closing ceremonies, Shinai should be placed on the left side, Bokuto on the right side.
